This is a leather pouch made specifically for their measuring tape and is intended to keep your tape in a handy location, as well as safe from drops and other hazards. This pouch is made of vegetable tanned leather and is hand-stitched and comes with a brass snap. These pouches also feature belt slots on the rear.
